Rick took his years of experience as a knife maker and member of the local volunteer fire deparment, and designed this feature-rich rescue knife. He has integrated some of the most important features a fire fighter will need. Even while wearing turn-out gloves, using this knife will not be an issue. The knife has larger, beefier features and mechanisms built-in. This is no ordinary rescue knife.

Details

With firefighters in mind, the Gerber Hinderer is a knife loaded with features. The blade on this Gerber knife is made of thick, fully serrated stainless steel and is operated by a liner lock release. On the other end is a window punch and a lanyard ring. On the back of the knife is an integrated seat belt / clothing cutter that folds out of the way when not in use. In the middle of the knife there is a built in slot that allows the knife to operate as an oxygen tank wrench. A ballistic nylon sheath is included that holds the knife and the 9 piece tool kit.
